The VST600, has been developed as a digital replacement for analog video recorders, it is a high specification digital video recording device that is aimed at those who require unparalleled real time, high-resolution video footage. The VST designed compression CODEC provides a record quality superior to SVHS, samples at broadcast quality resolution and conforms to the world ISO-131318 DVD compression standards. The end result is a playback quality that is virtually identical to the live image quality.

Another important consideration in development was the easy incorporation into existing CCTV systems hence, communication drivers and hardware has been incorporated into the VST600 to allow simplistic connection to existing CCTV management systems thus allowing a trouble free, uninterrupted and staged migration from analogue to high quality digital recording. When adding the VST600 to a CCTV Management System, 2 VCRs can be directly replaced by a dual channel VST600 maintaining existing communications wiring and even the existing connectors!
